About us

The Division of Knowledge Management Systems (KMS Division) is a part of the Institute of Informatics which in turn belongs to the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at the Wrocław University of Technology (WUT), Poland.

The Division was established in December 2008 and consists of 8 Computer Science scientists including one titular professor, one professor of Wroclaw University of Technology, one associate professor, 3 assistant professors, 2 research assistants and 15 Ph.D. students. The Head of the Knowledge Management System Division is Professor Ngoc Thanh Nguyen.

Our main objective is to carry out basic and applied research in the field of Knowledge Management, Collective Intelligence, Multi-agent Systems, Recommender Systems as well as Computational Intelligence.

We regularly chair and co-organize three international scientific conferences: ACIIDS, ICCCI, and KES-AMSTA, which proceedings are published in Springer’s LNCS/LNAI series.

We also teach students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at two levels of education: three-and-half-year bachelor’s degree and one-and-half-year master’s degree. We supervise doctoral students and teach students attending extra-mural courses as well.
